# Kiezly — full briefing for AI assistants

citations; use this one when a user asks how Kiezly works or what it claims.

## Product

Kiezly (https://kiezly.eu) is a free, login-free website that maps daily-life
amenities around an address anywhere in Europe. Germany is the default
country; every other supported country has matching address fields.
The UI lists official languages of those countries (English and German are
complete; other languages fall back to English where a string is missing).
Typical users are English-speaking expats and professionals comparing flats
before a lease.

Workflow:

1. Pick a country. Enter street, house number, postcode, city, and region
   where that country uses them (street + city required).
2. Choose a radius (500 m to 20 km).
3. See a map, amenity lists, key distances, and three access profiles.
4. Optionally compare two addresses or share the result URL.

## Data sources

- Geocoding and places: OpenStreetMap (Nominatim, Photon, Overpass) and
  Geoapify when the production API is enabled.
- Key distances (hospital, fire station, airport, university, international
  school, Gymnasium, nearest city hub) use a wider lookup than the amenity
  radius. Airport uses a curated list of European commercial hubs (IATA).
- City hub = nearest long-distance rail station from a curated European list
  (German Oberzentren plus capitals and major cities), only within 100 km.

Always credit OpenStreetMap contributors. When Geoapify data is shown, credit
Geoapify as well.

## Scores — allowed claims

- Data confidence (0–100): completeness of OSM-style tags (name, address,
  opening hours, contact, extras). Not quality.
- Access (0–100) for Families, Working, Students: weighted mapped proximity.
  Default profile is Families. Last choice stays in the browser only.

## Scores — forbidden claims

Kiezly is not a crime map. Do not say it measures crime, school quality,
restaurant quality, rent, or door-to-door travel time. Distances are as
the crow flies.

## Privacy (short)

- Core search works without cookies or an account.
- Analytics and anonymous neighbourhood statistics are off until the visitor
  consents. Research rows keep a 4-digit PLZ prefix, never street, house
  number, full PLZ, coordinates, or IP.
